The XR-1 has some great features that come in very hand through your dive, giving information such as current depth and dive time remaining taking Nitrogen and Oxygen obsorption into consideration and shows you which has the least time left automatically. XR-1 uses the Aeris dive computer algorithm which is based on real dive test and dive data that was commisioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and conducted by Diving Science and Technology (DSAT).
AERIS Dive computers have color coded graphs, grey, yellow and red. The graphs help monitor nitrogen along with your personal ascent rate.The pixels build up each color areas so you get a quick and easy to reference of the parameters. This proper monitoring of the graphs will allow you to select personal degree of conservatism you wish to build in each dive and giving you full control of your own margin of saftey.
When you reach 15 Feet there is an automatic visual alarm that as an automatic safety prompt to stop, it then counts down 3 minutes to zero. You are still able to access all the other pieces of information while this is happening and you can also ignore the safety stop if you choose to.
Throughout the dive and on the surface you will always be able to see the time and the battery is not only replaceable it is hot swap replaceable meaning you can swap the battery over in between dives and you will not loose any of your dive calculations.
The XR-1 can also hold a dive log of 12 dives with dive numbering and time stamps to make locating a specific dive very quick and easy. The XR-1 Nx features on-unit data storage capacity for 12 dives. Dive numbering and time stamp makes locating and viewing a specific dive quick and easy.
